For my community narrative I plan to write about the fly fishing community I belong to. I want to explain the characteristics of fly fishing through my own personal experiences. For the research part of my narrative, I plan on studying the medical and stress relieving effects that fly fishing has on the body.

Jeremy,
ReplyDeleteThis topic and the way you plan to approach the narrative sound excellent. Researching the stress relieving effects and benefits sounds promising, and will fit nicely into your paper if you connect it to a personal experience you've had fly fishing.
Remember that you are writing to an audience who is not a member of the fly fishing community, so along with the general characteristics of the practice, explain the whole process. You may want to contrast the experience with other types of fishing.
I really like the topic you chose. It's not very common (or at least not to me) so I think it will be very interesting to read about. Both the personal and research aspects seem appropriate and will provide good examples for your audience.
